Brain Yoga Workshops
Brain Yoga is a series of three classes designed to teach you how to cultivate and strengthen the mental skills you need to perform your best in daily life. Brain Yoga addresses issues of impatience, procrastination, difficulty focusing, and more. The Brain Yoga series is made of three sessions focusing on kinesthetic, visual, and auditory mental skills. The Brain Yoga for Performing Artists classes focus on learning these skills with the express purpose of managing performance anxiety, or stage fright. Brain Yoga classes are 90-100 minutes each session, typically consist of 10-15 individuals, and are offered periodically throughout Portland.
On the Margin of Parenthood: Coping With Infertility and Pregnancy Loss
This workshop is for couples and individuals coping with the emotional drain, devastation, and confusion of infertility issues including diagnosis, treatment, and pregnancy loss. Sessions focus on mental skills for self-care and coping with stress, finding a supportive community and how to weather the (un)helpful advice from friends and family, and grieving while still moving forward. This workshop meets for 90-100 minutes one day a week for three weeks; participants may sign up for one session or for the whole series.
