I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Portland, Oregon, with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Miami University. Prior to my graduate work in Clinical Psychology I trained as a classical cellist, and hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music.
I credit my earlier musical training with my appreciation for the arts and for all professionals who dedicate long, difficult hours perfecting their work. And I credit my experience of leaving my life in music with my understanding for career issues, identity change, and self-reinvention.
Currently I live in Portland, Oregon with my family. I have a Goldendoodle named Lucy who comes to therapy with me sometimes (she is pictured here showing off her “leave it” skills). I am an ardent believer in regular self-care; my methods of choice are cooking and sharing wonderful meals with friends and family and going on long, slow runs (to mitigate the effects of the wonderful meals). Other forms of self-care are subject to change without notice.
You may review my licensing information with the Oregon Board of Psychologist Examiners. I abide by the ethical principles of the American Psychological Association and the Oregon Statutes Pertaining to the Practice of Psychology.
