Individual Therapy, 55-60 minutes
This session is the most frequently sought for personal growth and change. I find that the space of an hour gives ample space for relaxing into conversation and contemplation, engaging in deep therapy work, and re-emerging into the frame of mind you need to negotiate the real world outside of the therapy room.
While most individuals decide to come for weekly sessions, there are times when scheduling or other needs conflict with the need for therapy. I prefer to meet weekly with new people until we get to know each other and have established some therapeutic momentum, usually for at least three weeks. After that, we can discuss how best to accommodate your schedule and therapy goals.
Extended Sessions, 90 minutes
Occasionally individual therapy clients want to work through a difficult issue and find that they need more than the standard hour-long session. Extended sessions can also be scheduled before a therapy hiatus (before a vacation, for example) or as a less-frequent alternative to weekly hour-long sessions.
